Well today (January 7) is Hayley's 22nd birthday! She had a blind date......yes a DATE.....with us volunteers! It was a great time. We took her out on the town, blind folded, and led by Erin. We went on the Micro (our bus system here in Trujillo), took several taxis, went to the Plaza de Armas (which is beautiful!), made her do silly things, then took her out to eat. We thought this would be great since Hayley is in the Coast Guard!
"Where is Baby Jesus?".....that was the question during Christmas time because Baby Jesus is placed in the manger at midnight!
Hayley got arrested on her birthday! Just kidding!!! This was just another fun part of the game! Beforehand we had her stand on a bench, say "Today is my birthday! Who will sing to me?" ALL in Spanish, which is ok for her since she has been here since June!
