Week 2 of Summer School

I can't believe that I have been here 7 weeks! Time has flown by so much. It has been a great time so far. Here are more pictures of this weeks time during Summer School. The kids seem to love it, and like the more direct attention.

Kinder
This week's theme was Noah's Ark out of Genesis 6-8. Our Bible verse for the week was Genesis 6:22. This week Zuleika was sick with some stomach problem, but she is better now! We are making a mural each week, along with coloring pages. They love putting the stick tack on though!

We made the boat, put the animals in, and closed the door!

Here are Noah and the animals in the ark. Of course Noah's family is in there too, but you can't see them!!!

Erika LOVES playing with the blocks!

Jose David loves them too!

The rain came and the waters rose!

The dove brought back an olive branch, so Noah and his friends got out of the ark.

After Noah built an altar and gave an offering, God put rainbow in the sky as a promise to us that He would never flood the earth again!

Erika, a caballo??? I don't think she is a horse, but Jose David does!

A half smile out of Zuleika!

Craft time!
We are still working on crocheting. Sorry but I don't have any pictures for this week. I also help with Nanci's baby, Nehemias!

Juegos....aka Game Time!!
This week our theme was Teamwork. We did a 3-legged race....kinda. They learned that they needed each other to be able to walk. They did a great job! After spending some time on the first day of practicing, we went to the sand dunes. It was VERY hot, but they were troopers and did a great job of it. Afterwards we played in the sand dunes. We also took Lazaro, which was another lesson in teamwork. He can't walk that great, let alone climb. Davis, Franklin, and Italo did a great job of helping me get him up the dunes! The Younger Group didn't do this. It was too hard for them, and we just played on the playground.

The Older Group

See them helping each other??? Franklin and Italo are in the front, and Davis and Danni are behind. Junior wasn't able to learn how because he missed the first day, but he tried with Kevin. It was very difficult in the sand, but they went to the dunes with us.

There they are again!

WOW! Look at that teamwork!!

The Younger Group
Instead of the 3-legged race, we learned that we had to help each other if we wanted to see-saw! They love playing on the playground though! Isaias and Abel were sleeping, so I didn't wake them up, since normally they don't get a nap at all.
